TMI Research Center houses historical documents, laboratory notes, original patent materials and applications. These
resources are available for scholarly research relating to the earliest developments of image transmission. Among these
materials are: an original copy of the first patent application for television of Paul Nipkow, the laboratory notes of Charles
Francis Jenkins, papers of W.K.L. Dickson, and diagrams, sketches and personal letters of John Logie Baird. In addition
to these more scientific and electrical engineering annotations, the Research Center's collection includes print advertising
for televisors and for the trades schools that trained the first television repairmen.
